James Foley

James began his career as an assistant underwriter at VMGU, a

managing general agent for AIG's services to the lumber, building

materials, forest products and woodworking industries; and he worked

his way up to a Production Underwriter position.

He then moved to Amtrust, underwriting all lines with a focus on

workers’ compensation, along with habitational and small Main Street

business owner policies. Promoted to Senior Production Underwriter,

James’s team soon built a book exceeding $60 million in premium.



Born and raised in New England, James earned a Bachelor of Science in

Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire. In his free time, he

goes snowmobiling in the winter and lives the lake life in the summer at

his family camp.
